[学术方面]
The curriculum was definitely intellectually challenging and engaging. As for the structure of the curriculum, we have several required fields for graduation, including foreign language, philosophy and religion, global studies, math, science and history, but students generally have a great time in those courses and have the time to explore a fifth class each term.
课程设置非常挑战人也可以很好的让每个人都融合进来。从课程结构上来讲，学校要求几个领域的成绩才能毕业，包括外语、心理、宗教、国际学习、数学、科学和历史。但是一般学生都在这些课上度过了非常棒的时间，并且仍然有富余时间在每个学期选第五门课程。
My junior year, I slept an average of 4? to 5 hours a night and pulled more than a few all-nighters. The workload is rigorous and the teachers are tough because they constantly push you beyond your limits. The professors are fair and you deserve the grades that you receive. Choate faculty expects only the best caliber of work from their students.
在我11年级Junior时，我平均每天晚上睡4.5－5小时，也有几次通宵。学习压力还是严酷的，老师也很负责，有时候还会超出你的忍耐限度来推进你。教授们都很公正，一般你的给分与你的付出都是成正比的。Choate教职员都期许他们的学生有最好的表现和水准。
There are many Asian heritage students at Choate, but I am not sure if they are Chinese citizens. International students are around 10% of the student body, at least when I was there. Everybody supported each other at Choate, and the talented and caring people around me definitely made my high school experience the best it could be.
Choate有不少亚裔学生，但我不太确定他们都是中国籍的。在我就读期间，国际学生大概占到10%。大家都互相支持，并且那些在我周围既富有天赋又有爱的人们给我带来了最好的体验。
Choate has a Capstone program, which matches one faculty member with the students interested, from 1 student to about 5 students. As long as the student is engaged and eager to communicate with faculty members, he/she would always get the help needed.
Choate有Capstone项目，让每个学生都针对兴趣点匹配一名教职员，每个教职员1-5名学生不等。只要学生充分融入其中并且渴望和教职员交流，他总能得到应有的帮助。
Choate students generally matriculate at top colleges in the country. I think every student is unique in their own way and there is no fixed caliber for excellence or mediocre, as long as they achieved their own goals and are content about their circumstances.
Choate的孩子一般都升学到全美最好的大学中。我觉得每个学生都是与众不同的，只要他们可以达到他们自己的目标并且对他们自己的结果满意，都不应该被外物限定来发挥他的优良秉性。
[生活方面]
Our dining hall is the center of our campus. During meal hours, it was the perfect place to socialize and catch up with friends and faculty. The food at Choate is quality. It definitely beats my college's food. The soups are to die for, amongst which are Italian wedding and butternut squash soup.
就餐大厅位于学校的中心。在就餐时间，那简直是一个完美的社交、交朋友和其他教职员认识的场所。Choate的食物还是很有质量的。百分百打败了我大学的食物。汤是极棒的，是意大利婚礼和碎奶脱汤。
I always returned home for break, as my family lives in the United States. I believe there are some programs that facilitate housing for international students over break, like host family programs, and the faculty, upon permission could also host students, but it has been very rare.
由于我的家庭住在美国，所以我总是假期回到家休息。我相信有很多项目来解决国际生假期的住宿问题，比如寄宿家庭，还有像教职员有时候获得了许可也能带学生，但那应该不多见。
Choate actively communicates with parents to discuss the student’s academics and social life. My parents received frequent emails about general school activities and letters and comments from my teachers. The teachers might also call to discuss more specific topics.
Choate与家长之间交流讨论孩子的学术和社区生活是很活跃很频繁的。我的父母经常受到学校邮件谈及学校活动、信件、老师的评价等。有时候老师也会打电话交流一些更细节的话题。
Choate has Wi-Fi coverage for most of its campus. International students usually Skype parents and/or call them on their phones.
Choate大部分校园都有Wifi覆盖。国际学生经常会用Skype或者电话与家长交流。
Choate is located in one of the most northern states in the country, so it gets considerably cold in the winter. We generally buckle up with heavy clothes starting in November. The heating system covers all dorms and classroom buildings so it’s fine indoors.
Choate坐落在美国比较北的一个州，所以冬天会很冷。我们一般从11月开始就会穿的比较厚。所有的宿舍和教室都有暖气覆盖，所以室内温度不成问题。
I usually take the train/bus to Boston and fly domestic airlines to New Jersey.
交通方面，我一般从波士顿坐火车／大巴并且飞境内航班到新泽西。
[申请方面]
I applied from the U.S. domestically so I am not very familiar with the international student applications. Our admissions yield is over 60%, so most students end up choosing our school.
我从美国境内按国内学生申请，所以对国际学生的申请不是特别熟悉。我们的招生录取产出率超过60%，所以大多数被录取的学生最终会选择Choate。
I think the reason that I had been accepted was that the admissions saw a good fit between the school and me. Choosing Choate was definitely one of the best decisions in my life. The tight community and excellence in teaching and learning cannot be matched even by some of the top colleges. I would urge more students to choose to matriculate at this fantastic community.
我想我会来Choate最重要的原因是我看到了学校和我之间非常高的匹配度。选择Choate绝对是我人生中最好的选择之一。紧凑的社区和教师团队的优良资质甚至在一些名列前茅的大学中都不一定能匹配。我会力劝更多的学生选择升学到Choate这个非常棒的社区当中来。

[课外活动和社团]
Choate offers a wide range of clubs. Choate students constantly are involved in engaging their fellow students and also impacting the world beyond campus. My most favorite memory was Harvest Fest, which is a club fair in the fall where Choate brings in an inflatable obstacle course and puts on a pie eating contest and other food stands in order to raise money and student participation in school.
Choate提供一系列的社团。Choate学生不断地融入到他们的同龄人中，同时也影响着整个校园，甚至这个世界。我最喜欢的一段记忆是Harvest Fest这个俱乐部，它事实上是一个在秋季召开的俱乐部盛会，届时会带来很多Inflatable Obstacle，并且有一个吃Pie的比赛，其他的食物都是为了筹集资金和鼓励在校学生的参与。
Choate requires that you participate in either a sport or community service activity each term. In all the teams I participated in, regardless of the skill level, Choate teams are highly competitive. We have a great athletics program. Our sports teams work hard with whatever skill level they are at in order to improve and win.
Choate要求学生参与体育或者社区服务活动中的一项。在所有我参加过的队伍中，除了技能上的水准，Choate队伍都是非常有竞争力的。我们有很强的运动项目。我们的体育团队也努力一直在提升他们自己以夺得比赛。
